Nutritional therapy uses nutritional science to help improve your health. You can transform your health and wellbeing, sometimes with small changes, by changing what you eat, breathe, feel and think.

What can Nutritional Therapy do for you?

Sandra’s enthusiasm for nutrition, food and well-being enables her to help you transform your health using an approach that is achievable, enjoyable, and supportive.

She uses a functional medicine approach which means that, if helpful, she uses tests, to get to the root cause of your problem and to help resolve your health issue faster.

What is Functional Testing?

Sandra says ‘Often when someone is feeling unwell they will have GP blood tests and are told that everything is ‘normal’. Normal reference ranges have more to do with statistics than health so we often need to dig a bit deeper.’

Common tests that are used in clinic include;

Adrenal Stress Profile – detects stress hormone imbalances which may affect energy levels and mood as well as contribute to anxiety, inflammation, menstrual problems, infertility, and recurrent infections.

Stool analysis – a useful test to evaluate your digestive function, when compromised this may result in bloating and gas, indigestion, constipation, diarrhoea, and abdominal pain. Research also suggests a poor function may result in arthritis and chronic fatigue syndrome.

Female Hormone profile – imbalances may result in infertility, premenstrual tension, fluid retention, fibroids, painful and heavy periods, endometriosis, and migraine headaches.

*Food intolerance testing, *Full Thyroid profile , *Vitamin D levels,  *Cardiovascular Health check,  *Genetic testing *Health MOT – functional blood chemistry profile & organic acids test.

Common Health Priorities

Typical priorities in nutritional therapy consultations include support to achieve optimum energy levels, healthy blood sugar balance, emotional and psychological wellbeing, optimum gastrointestinal health and tolerance to a broad range of food groups.

About Treatment

At your first consultation Sandra discusses your health and lifestyle to determine how she can best support you in achieving your goals.

She uses a wide range of tools to assess and identify potential nutritional imbalances and understand how these may contribute to your symptoms and health concerns.

Sandra creates a personalised nutrition plan to help you feel better which includes the recommendations of foods, supplements, and lifestyle. She has an incredibly positive and supportive approach and her plans are achievable and enjoyable.

Working with Sandra is not about restriction and deprivation in any way. It’s about total health abundance, and freedom to be able to enjoy the food you eat, and feel wonderful from the inside out.
